He fights the law, but he also fights the crime (just not as much). Dangeresque…
Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People is nearing it’s finale, but not without dealing with fan-favorite Dangeresque.
Each episode of SBCG4AP has it’s distinctive hook. War Stories, Rock Music, Foot Races, and with this episode: an amateur film about a detective cop.
By now you know what to expect from the games controls, and overall style. I do like that the game remains in the world of Dangeresque for the entire episode. It’s the main thing that sets this one apart from the rest.
While I was roped in with the Detective, amateur video style, I feel it could have ended a bit earlier. There’s a scene where you’re going to the same area, back to back (with different dressings), in order to find out which version of Strong Sad is not who he seems. It could just be me, but the whole puzzle seemed to be a bit too complicated. There wasn’t the big pay-off that previous stumping puzzles had. In addition to that, you will get sick of hearing “Looks Like We’re Gonna Have to Jump!” by the end of the episode, as they relay it ad nauseum.
Aside from these flaws, it’s an interesting episode that fans of the series will enjoy. However, it might lose more of the humor than other episodes, for newcomers. Find out where you stand with the free demo.
