I was told the same thing, but I notice Best buy, Amazon, and many other retailers are selling pre-orders for this game. So at this point I am really questioning the whole 10,000 Legendary disc theory. Does any body have any more insight to this?
I am not really worried at this point. Bungie knows that there will be a great demand, and they aren’t going to go and only print 10,000.
Although you may also want to figure in the fact that Microsoft will probably have a 3rd party actually construct the helmet, so there may in fact be a shortage.
Kinda sad that we’re worried about shortages a full year ahead…
With a game as popular as halo, I would expect shortages even before the public know’s about it.

I know for a fact by looking at the picture the helmet it is not wearable because the inside is square to fit around the discs rack. Anyone with a sharp eye could easily tell, now carefully look atthe picture again and tell me that that helmet is going to fit on your head.
About the hellmet i called ebgames and gamestop they both said it will fit most peoples heads but it might not be a head set

Nah i dont think the helmet is wearable. In the picture on top and other pictures i ve seen, its been the height of a game case and as wide as the bottom. I mean if ur a fetus, thats a diff. story.

If you go on the walmart website they have the helmets measurements and you should be able to wear it if it has a circular base. The width is 8.5 inches, Height 10, and depdth 11.5, cantt tell if you can see through the visor though.
Ok most of you are retarded and have no common sence at all. It may be able to fit some little kids head, if in fact it has an open bottom. For the majority of the people that buy it though, it will only be a collectable.

^I’m not sure. It is rated M which means the stores shouldn’t sell it too you unless you’re 17 or older, but Halo tends to tread lightly on the M rating. I would bring a parent along anyway.

to everybody who keeps asking if the helmet will fit on your head, first of all, your a complete nerd if your worried that it won’t fit. Go build your own if your that nervous about it. Two, it won’t fit on your head. It’s about the size of a cat or small dog, not nearly big enough to fit on a person’s head. Its meant to to go over the DVD and Game Case holder. Its a freakin collectible. I mean granted, I’m going to preorder one but its going to be like the Playstation 3 or Wii Launch. There’s going to be lines, lots of em. I work at the Marlborough, MA Best Buy and I know for a fact that Bungie and Microsoft will ship more than 10,000 units. So if you don’t want to reserve yourself a copy, you probably won’t have to. They’ll have a lot more shipments after the initial shipment. So stop worrying.
And stop asking if the damn helmet will fit on your head, you can’t even see out of the visor anyways.

The helmet is about 8.5 inches high and lifts off of the 1.5 inch tall base. It might fit our dogs, but not us. By the way, if you’re interested in a wearable helmet, Master Replicas already has a prototype ready as part of their contract with Microsoft. Start saving, because their #%@%#% is ridiculously overpriced, even though it is usually of top quality. The expected MSRP is $800.
And obviously it’s not paperweight size, guys. Look at it. It was lovingly crafted to fit OVER your game and goodies discs. Some poor, unappreciated slob labored long hours, into the night, working his fingers to the bone to make sure it fits over your half-foot DVD keep cases. Pretty big. Where’s the love?
I have recently heared that Halo 3 is going to come out in Early September. The resones are that I close friend of mine is a Blockbuster manager and he recently attended a games deparment meeting to start a larg advertising campane with pepsi for Halo 3 in August. Also he has said that enyday they will be receving an e-mail informing then to stop pre-selling Lengendary Edition. Hopfully it will come out before school is back in.
The Legindary Edition Comes with 4 DVDs. One of the is obveusly the game, a nother one is a collection of all the cinimatics of halo 1 and 2 compiled into two short refesher movies. The 3rd disc is a day at bungie and producing halo 3. The fourth and final disc is deleted cimimatics and concept art. I also heard in one of the discs there is a reference of characters and equipment………preordered it yesterday!!!!!

i work at a gamestop and we were told the helmets were NOT lifesize and could NOT be worn, kinda shitty cuz i was hoping to wear mine to work one day

yeah halo 3 weapons are goin to be sick the battle rifle is going to have a mounted grenade launcher on it and there is goin to be a spartan lazer yeah i know preety much everything on halo (its a bit sad but what ever, its more meaningless info i have in my head)
^The Battle rifle does not have a mounted grenade launcher. It’s a weapon in the beta, and it’s the same Battle Rifle from before. Still deadly, still fun. There is a Missle Pod Rocket that is sort of a grenade launcher I guess. It’s fun to use, and shifts the camera to 3rd Person. I’m not to good with it.
And yeah, the Spartan Laser is “Sick”. It causes a one hit kill, but it has a charge to keep things balanced. Good for sniping, not ground combat.

ok people i searched for pics of the helmet on google and i found a pic of it from the bottom and like some have said it was made to sit on the games case but i also saw that there were a few screws that could be taken out so if u wanted to bad enough you could take it apart and get it to were u could wear it

i hope the rumors true cuz i would like 2 see a new variation of the Scorpion Tank. the tank should have missles that could track other vehicles like the warthog while they are moving. that would be sweet. it should also have some kind of booster that lets it go faster like the Covenant vehicles can. i think that anyone who has ever played a halo game would agree with me when i say that the tank moves slow as hell!!!
I know for a fact that at one point in the game Master Cheif pulls a Warthogs turret off of the car and uses it. and as far as the legendary edition goes would it not be easier to just by the regular version? oh and about the helmet size did you ever bother to look at the picture its just a little bigger than the games cases, so it wont fit most people,plus you cant see out the visor, but its still a great collectors item.
^Where are you getting that MC Rips off a Warthog Turret? There are normal turrets you can take with you but not warthogs. There is a passenger Hog which doesn’t have a turret (as seen in the E3 trailer). Also what do you mean easier to get the regular edition? dude, of course the jhelmet isnt wearable, the fact that its a case prolly means the middle of the helmet is only open wide enough for the bottom part of the case to fit into, and 2nd, look at the size of the helmet in comparison to the size of the actualy gamez, youd have to be like 8 years old to have a head that small

Limited is still good though, and I recommend it.
