Halo 3 Standard Edition Boxart?

This is what Amazon has posted as the Halo 3 boxart on their Halo 3 Product Page. It has the Microsoft Games Studio Watermark everywhere, and it’s art we haven’t seen before, so I’m leaning toward this being official.

I like it. It seems much more action packed than the previous covers. I believe that this cover is available for the Standard Edition and the Legendary Edition. Unless the Limited edition changes its cover slip.

Hopefully we’ll see a higher-res, watermark free version in the near future.

Guitar Hero 3 videos

Be aware that the person playing is horrible.

I’m not liking the ned HUD, and I’m also kind of worried about how Neversoft will handle Hammer-ons and Pull-offs. Neversoft is building this game from the ground up, and does not have access to the original code from Harmonix. Things still have time to change, but I’m on the edge. I’ll wait until I see the final product.

Blizzard says “No Starcraft 2 for 2007″

In a statement that was to be expected, Blizzard stated in an interview with MSNBC that we’ll not be seeing Starcraft 2 until 2008 at earliest. They explain that the design steps started around 2003, and the game was in full development in 2004. So even though you have to wait, you will be getting a product that is that much better.

Halo 3 Leak 5.29.07 A big one! UPDATE: with Hi-res scans

To further document the Halo 3 leaks, we turn to the most recent issue of Gamepro. It’s different from the internal beta, dreaded shaky-cam footage, but not by much. Today we have webcam photos of a magazine!

Things are starting to turn into potential spoilers, so read at your own risk (new vehicles, maps, and equipment after the break!

Halo 3 “Pre-Sell Kit”

I have no idea what this is, but Devin Olsen from the HBO forums notice this at his Wal-Mart.

He says it includes a Poster, and of course a preorder for the Game. 3 versions for the 3 versions of the games. I’d love to have a preorder, so I wouldn’t have to show up a day early to secure my Legendary Edition. God knows I’ve spent too many hours there already.

I’m going to head to Wal-Mart soon, to hopefully pick one up and get some pictures for the site.

Gyakuten Saiban 5 to be made

Capcom’s President Tsujimoto announced that the company plans to continue the popular Gyakuten Saiban (Ace Attorney) series, with Gyakuten Saiban 5. No platform was given, but DS is a likely candidate.

Don’t many details on this, as Gyakuten Saiban 4 just came out in April in Japan.

Ace Attorney 3 is still expected to be released in September.

Geometry Wars: Galaxies for Wii and DS! Geometwii Wars?

Nintendo Power has a small article announcing Geometry Wars Galaxies on The Wii and DS.

It’s being handled by the developers of Battalion Wars, and will feature an extensive single-player game. Wii version will use the motion control, and DS will use the touch control. This game is exclusive to these platforms (…for now). Each version will feature a multiplayer mode. Both Versions from Retro Evolved will be included.

Expect this to hit this fall.

Kingdom Hearts 3 to be shown at TGS

At the recent Square Enix Event, a teaser trailer was shown that basically said they would make a big announcement dealing with the Kingdom Hearts series, at the Tokyo Game Show in September.  A teaser for an announcement. That is totally Square Enix. So what do you think will be announced? Kingdom Hearts spin-off for Portables (Birth by Sleep)? Or Kingdom Hearts 3 (For Ps3, Wii, or 360?).
